  • Most insurances cover the flu shot at no cost to you! We can bill Medicare Part B for your shot.

Shingles vaccine

  • Also called herpes zoster, shingles is caused by the same virus as chicken pox. It is estimated that 95% of the US population over the age of 18 has been exposed to the virus.
  • Recommended for all adults over the age of 50 years, although people aged 19-49 with certain conditions can also receive the vaccine
  • Approximately 1 in 3 people will get shingles – the vaccine decreases your risk of getting shingles by 90%!

Pneumococcal vaccine

  • This is sometimes referred to as the pneumonia vaccine, but it also protects against meningitis and blood infections!
  • All adults ≥ 65 years who have not previously received a pneumococcal conjugate vaccine or precious vaccination history unknown should receive it
  • Additionally, a pneumococcal vaccine is recommended for adults aged 19-64 with heart, lung or kidney disease, people with diabetes, and people who smoke if they have not received a conjugate pneumococcal vaccine or previous vaccines are unknown
  • Medicare Part B patients have no charge if primary insurance

Pertussis (Whooping cough) vaccine

  • Recommended for adults over the age of 18 who have not yet received a pertussis booster, especially recommended for adults in close contact with infants or children
  • Also includes protection against tetanus (lockjaw) and diphtheria

Hepatitis B vaccine

  • Recommended for adults ages 19-59 years
  • Those >60 years with certain chronic conditions should also receive a series
  • Also recommended for anyone at risk of exposure to blood or bodily fluids, especially healthcare or public safety workers
